• Return requests must be made within 7 days of delivery.
• Items must be returned within 7 days after approval, in original, unworn condition.
• Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
1. Store Credit
• Store credit equals the full item price paid, excluding shipping.
• If the original order qualified for free shipping, outbound shipping absorbed by us will be deducted: $40 U.S., $30 International
• Any duties, tariffs, taxes, or clearance charges paid or later billed to us will also be deducted from store credit.
2. Refund to Original Payment Method
• A 35% recovery deduction applies to the item price.
• Outbound shipping cost previously incurred by us will be deducted: $40 U.S., $30 International
• Shipping, duties, taxes, and clearance charges are non-refundable.
• Customers are responsible for return shipping.

Shipping Information – Please Read Carefully
We encourage all customers to ask questions before placing an order, especially regarding shipping. While we strive to ship to nearly every corner of the world, certain regions may face restrictions or delays.
Please note, we do not ship to Russia, South Africa, South America, Israel and Egypt.
To avoid any inconvenience, we strongly recommend contacting us before placing an order if you are in a country with known shipping issues or restrictions.
Additionally, please refer to the Cancellation Policy on this page for details about canceling an order after purchase and any applicable terms.
Your satisfaction is our priority, and we are here to help ensure a smooth delivery process.
Please note, in some cases store credit may be offered instead of a refund to help reduce processing fees and delays.
Please review all product details carefully before placing an order, including metal type, size, dimensions, and any listing notes. If you decide you no longer want the item after purchase, we accept returns within our return period as long as the item is unused, unworn, and returned in its original condition. Return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility, and original shipping fees are non-refundable.
Import charges are determined by customs or the courier based on the purchase amount paid on our website, and may include tariffs, base duty, and courier handling fees. These charges are not refundable by us. In most cases, these costs are included in the total item cost. For this reason, we apply a flat 35% restocking fee to cover these charges.
We absorb a large portion of international shipping costs, however for all returns and refunds, a refund shipping charge will apply: $25 (For The rest of the world) or $40 (USA). The shipping amount paid at checkout will be deducted from this charge first, and any remaining balance will be deducted from the product price paid. If your order included free shipping, the full refund shipping charge will be deducted from the product price. This shipping charge is separate from, and does not replace, the 35% restocking fee.
Refunds are processed after we receive and inspect the returned item.
Customs Charges for Exchange Items.
Please note that while we accept exchanges, any replacement item will be treated as a new order for customs purposes. This means that applicable taxes, duties, and fees will be charged again on the exchanged item, even if these costs were already paid on the original purchase. In addition, shipping costs for the exchange must be covered by the buyer, though no charge will be made for the cost of the replacement item itself.
For U.S. orders, Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) applies only to the first item purchased, while exchanged items are shipped under Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU), meaning taxes and duties are the buyer’s responsibility.
For Canadian Orders
Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) applies only to the first shipment when FedEx coverage is available. If FedEx does not service your delivery area and regular postal service must be used instead, all duties, taxes and import fees will be the responsibility of the buyer.
For Exchanges
All exchanges are shipped under Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU). Duties, taxes and import fees are payable by the buyer. If the exchange address is outside FedEx coverage, shipment will be sent via regular postal service and any duties or handling fees charged by the carrier remain the buyer’s responsibility.
Failure to Pay Import Charges
If duties, taxes or import fees are not paid and the shipment is refused, unclaimed or returned due to non-payment, no refund will be issued.
Discount Code Policy
Please make sure to enter any discount codes at checkout. We are unable to apply discounts after a purchase is completed. Once a payment is processed, we are charged non-refundable fees based on the full payment amount, which makes post-purchase adjustments difficult.
Because of this, we do not offer refunds or store credit if a discount code is not applied during checkout. Store credit also cannot be used to claim a missed discount after a purchase has been made.
We recommend double-checking your order before finalizing your payment to make sure any valid discount codes are applied. Thank you for your understanding.
Policy for Damaged Items
If your item arrives damaged, please follow these steps:
1. Take a Photo: Send us clear pictures of the damaged item. You’ll find our contact email in the shipping confirmation message you received.
2. Refund, Replacement, or Store Credit: If we confirm that the damage was due to our error, we will offer you the choice of a full refund (including shipping), a free replacement of the same item, or store credit of the full amount paid. You may keep the damaged piece if it is a silver jewelry item without gemstones.*
3. Intentional Damage: Items that are intentionally damaged will not be eligible for any refund, replacement, or store credit. Accounts involved in such cases may be flagged to prevent future purchases.
4. Postal Handling Issues: All parcels are packed with care and sent directly to your country’s international airport. If your package is damaged after it enters your country’s local postal system, we unfortunately cannot be held responsible, and no refund will be provided.
5. Discounted Items: Items bought using a discount or coupon code that have minor cosmetic flaws cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged.
6. 7-Day Reporting Window: You must report any damage within 7 days of receiving your parcel. We cannot process refunds, replacements, or store credit after this period to prevent misuse.
7. Handcrafted Jewelry Disclaimer: Every piece at 9 Star Jewelry is handcrafted with care. Slight imperfections or tiny variations may naturally occur due to the handmade nature of our work. These small details are what make each piece unique.

Return & Refund Policy
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help. Please review the guidelines below carefully.
1. Return Approval Required
You must email us within 7 days of receiving your order to request return approval. Please include clear photos of the item and its condition. Returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted.
2. Return Deadline
Once approved, the item must be shipped back within 7 days using the return address provided in your package.
You are responsible for return shipping.
After we receive and inspect the item to confirm it is in original, unworn condition, we will proceed with your choice of store credit or refund.
3. Store Credit Option
If you choose store credit, you will receive the full item price paid, excluding outbound shipping costs.
If your original order qualified for free shipping, the outbound shipping cost absorbed by us will be deducted from the store credit amount:
• $30 for U.S. orders
• $20 for non-U.S. international orders
If duties, tariffs, taxes, or clearance charges were paid or are later billed to us in connection with your order, those amounts will also be deducted from the store credit issued.
Store credit may be used at any time, with or without discount codes.
4. Refund to Original Payment Method
If you prefer a refund instead of store credit, the following deductions apply:
• A 35% recovery deduction from the item price. This covers non-recoverable operational costs, including inspection, sanitization and polishing required after handling, restoration preparation, non-refundable payment processing fees, any tariffs or duties paid on your behalf where applicable, and partial recovery of the outbound shipping cost, a significant portion of which is absorbed by us.
• Outbound shipping cost previously incurred by us:
• $40 for U.S. orders
• $30 for international orders
• Shipping and handling fees, including duties, taxes, and courier clearance charges, are non-refundable.
5. Return Shipping Responsibility
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We do not reimburse this expense.
If you return the item using our FedEx return-to-sender service, an additional fee of $40–$55 will be deducted.
6. Condition of Returned Items
Returned items must be in original, unworn, untarnished, and unaltered condition, and properly packaged.
Items worn or damaged due to customer handling will not be eligible for return or refund.
7. Discounted Items
Items purchased using a discount or coupon code that have a minor cosmetic flaw cannot be returned or refunded.
We recommend choosing the store credit option if you prefer a return with minimal deductions.
Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel your order, please review the terms below carefully:
1. 2-Hour Cancellation Window: You must contact us within 2 hours of placing your order to request a cancellation. This allows us to halt the preparation process before materials are selected or packing begins.
2. Non-Refundable Transaction Fees: All cancellations are subject to non-refundable payment processing fees, even if made within the 2-hour window:
• PayPal: 5% to 7
• Credit card: 7%
These fees are charged by the payment provider and are not recoverable on our end.
3. After 2 Hours: If more than 2 hours have passed since your purchase, an additional cancellation fee of 5% to 15% might be applied. This covers the time and materials already invested in preparing your order.
4. Store Credit Option: Instead of a refund, you may choose to receive store credit.
If your item has not yet shipped, store credit will be issued for the full amount you paid, including shipping, with no fees deducted.
This is the most flexible and cost-effective option and can be used at any time with or without discount codes.
5. Please Purchase Mindfully: Because each item is handcrafted and often made to order, we kindly ask that you finalize your decision before purchasing to help avoid avoidable fees.
Important note: Refunds can take up to 30 days, once it is approved.
European Union (EU) Customers – 14-Day Right of Withdrawal
If you are located in the European Union, you may request a return within 14 calendar days of receiving your order in accordance with EU consumer protection regulations.
1. Exercising Your Right
To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing within 14 calendar days from the date of delivery.
The return period begins on the date you send your written notification. From that date, you have 14 calendar days to dispatch the item back to us. If the courier attempts delivery and leaves a notice (e.g., the package is held at a local post office or pickup point), the delivery is considered legally fulfilled.
The return deadline is met if the goods are sent before the 14-day return period expires.
All time periods stated above are calculated in calendar days, including weekends and public holidays.
Notification validity is determined based on the timestamp of your written communication, regardless of time zone differences.
Before shipping the item, you must contact us to obtain the correct return address and return instructions. The return timeline is not dependent on our response time.
2. Return of Goods
Returned items must be sent back to our business address in Malaysia.
You are responsible for the full cost of return shipping, including any international shipping fees, insurance, tracking, or customs documentation required to return the parcel to Malaysia.
We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured shipping method. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.
3. Condition, Diminished Value and Verification
Returned items must be the original item shipped and must be in original, unworn, and undamaged condition.
You may handle the item only to the extent necessary to examine its nature and characteristics, similar to what would be permitted in a physical retail environment. Use beyond what is necessary for inspection may result in a deduction for diminished value.
Returned items must be handled and packaged with reasonable care. Items should be returned using appropriate protective packaging, preferably in the original zip-lock bag or a similar airtight protective package, to prevent damage, scratching, or oxidation during transit.
Any damage, tarnishing, scratching, deterioration, or alteration resulting from use beyond normal inspection or from inadequate return packaging may result in a proportionate deduction to reflect the diminished value of the item.
Returned goods must be the original item shipped. The item must not be substituted, altered, or replaced with a different product. If the returned parcel does not contain the original item, or contains a materially altered or inconsistent item, the withdrawal request cannot be processed.
For hygiene reasons, earrings are not eligible for return once opened or worn, unless defective.
4. Refunds
If withdrawal is exercised correctly:
• We will refund the item price paid.
• We will refund the standard delivery cost paid at checkout.
Refunds will be issued within 14 days after we receive the returned goods or receive proof that the goods have been sent back.
Refunds will be issued within 14 calendar days in accordance with EU regulations. Please note that once the refund is processed, the time required for the funds to appear in your account depends on your payment provider and may take additional business days.
5. Optional Store Credit with 5% Bonus
Instead of receiving a refund to your original payment method, you may voluntarily choose to receive store credit equal to your item price paid plus an additional 5% bonus value.
If you choose this option, we will confirm your selection in writing. Once confirmed, the refund to your original payment method will not be processed and store credit will be issued after the returned item is received and inspected.
This option is entirely voluntary and does not affect your statutory right to receive a refund to your original payment method.
The 5% bonus applies only once per original transaction and does not apply to orders paid partially or fully using store credit.
6. Duties and Import Charges
For orders shipped under DDU (typically above €150), any import duties, taxes, or customs charges paid to your local authorities are your responsibility and are not refundable by us.
For orders under €150 shipped using IOSS, VAT collected at checkout will be refunded in accordance with applicable EU regulations.
Ring Exchange Policy
Ring sizes can be tricky, with many different methods used to measure them. We follow the US/Canada sizing system. For conversions, please refer to http://ringsizes.co.
There are two main tools used to determine ring size:
- A ring sizer, which is a set of rings you try on to find your size.
- A ring mandrel, which is a tapered metal stick used to measure the diameter of the ring itself.
While there are many DIY methods using string, paper, or rubber bands, we strongly recommend visiting a professional jeweler to get an accurate measurement. Your ring should slide comfortably over your knuckle and sit snugly, not too tight and not too loose. Factors like weather can affect your finger size, so check your size more than once, preferably on both warm and cool days.
We use a certified steel mandrel, the same one we’ve relied on for over 25 years, to measure and verify every ring before it is sent out. A photo of your ring is usually taken while it is on this mandrel.
Please note:
If there is ever a dispute in ring sizing between our mandrel and yours, our measurement is final. We do not recognize readings taken from low-quality, plastic, or mis-calibrated mandrels that are not consistent with professional standards. Any cheap or other mandrel that is not synced with ours is not accepted.
Due to slight variations in tools and technique, even proper ring sizing can vary by up to ±0.5 mm. DIY sizing can be off by 1 to 2 full sizes, so please take care to measure accurately.
Our Ring Exchange Policy:
We aim to send out rings within a size margin of ±0.5 mm. Each ring is measured with our certified mandrel before shipping.
1. If your ring doesn’t fit, you may exchange it. However, you must:
- Return the original ring to us.
- Cover the cost of shipping the new ring to you, based on current shipping rates.
- We do not refund your original shipping fee.
- Duties and taxes are paid again by the buyer.
2. The exchange ring will be sent only after we receive the original ring or are provided with a tracking number. In some cases, we may wait until the ring arrives to assess its condition.
3. If you believe we sent a ring outside the acceptable size range, you may request a verification photo of the ring as measured on our certified mandrel. If we confirm the error is ours, we’ll replace it at no cost. However, this is at our discretion, and comparison using inaccurate or non-standard tools will not qualify.
4. If you simply wish to return (not exchange) the ring, please refer to our Return Policy.
5. If you're unsure about your ring size, please contact us before purchasing. Once an order is placed, our standard policies apply. Refer to our Order Cancellation Policy for more details.
6. Rings are eligible for only one exchange. Any subsequent exchange requests will require a new purchase at full price.
